A ready-made sofa rarely fits your wall exactly: it is either too short and leaves a gap, or too long and blocks the walkway. That is why many homes in the UAE choose a custom made sofa. This guide walks through each step from measuring to installation.
1. Measure the wall first
Measure every wall that will take a sofa, then subtract the walkways: leave about 90 cm in front of doors and about 45 cm between the sofa and the coffee table. Note where the AC unit, windows and sockets are so the sofa back does not cover them. For more, read how to measure a room for a majlis.
2. Choose the shape
- Two- or three-seat sofa: the most flexible, ordered alone or as part of a set, such as the Maqta 230 cm sectional or the Mercedes 240 cm sofa.
- L-shaped sectional: fills the corner and seats more people in less space.
- A full set with armchairs: for large majlis and reception rooms, like the curved Panda set or the Lara set.
3. Choose fabric and colour
We offer four fabric grades in velvet and linen, in calm colours that suit modern living rooms and Arabic majlis alike. Velvet feels richer; linen is lighter and easier to clean. You can see every fabric in our showrooms.
4. Made in our workshop
Once the measurements and fabric are confirmed, the sofa is built in our own workshop to the agreed size, on a frame with a 3-year warranty.
5. Delivery, installation and payment
Delivery and installation are free across the UAE. Pay in cash, by bank transfer or in instalments with Tabby and Tamara. Prices start at AED 699 per piece.
